Transparency means being able to see what is going on. How transparent is your self-funded health plan? Most plans have either never asked this question or never gotten a complete answer. In January 2012, Si Nahra, President of Health Decisions delivered a webinar that explained the three levels of attaining transparency and demonstrated how one can calculate how much transparency a plan has achieved. Based on the plan’s transparency score one will be able to pinpoint what steps you need to take to achieve the goal of 100% transparency.
